Trelleborg Tires celebrates innovation and excellence at Tractor de España® Award 2024
- Trelleborg Tires has been the official partner of the 5th edition of the Tractor de España® Award 2024, an important event organized by the magazine Agrotécnica that annually recognizes the most advanced, efficient, and sustainable tractor models in the market.
On September 27, at the Superior Technical School of Agronomic, Food and Biosystems Engineering (ETSIAAB) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the 5th edition of the Tractor de España® Award took place promoting excellence, innovation, and sustainability in agricultural machinery.
Trelleborg Tires, official partner of this event since its first edition, participated in this year’s award ceremony, represented by Ramón Martinez, Spain and Portugal Managing Director Yokohama TWS. During the presentation, Ramón Martinez emphasized the importance that leading players participating in this competition place on technical and scientific research, aimed at offering increasingly modern and efficient products, adding: “This is a commitment we all share. Trelleborg Tires, whose commitment to innovation in agri tires spans decades, has pursued specialized, innovative and sustainable solutions that push the boundaries of technological progress in the agricultural tire market.”
After the introductory remarks, the jury of professors and industry experts, along with public voting, selected the winning tractors for the Tractor de España® Award 2024, divided into 5 categories based on their power:
• Up to 100 hp (winner: KUBOTA M4-073)
• 100 - 200 hp (winner: MASSEY FERGUSON 6S)
• More than 200 hp (winner: CASE PUMA 260 CVX)
• Specialty Tractors (winner: DEUTZ-FAHR 5115 DF TTV)
Among these, the final and most prestigious award of the competition was won by the CASE PUMA 260 CVX, which was awarded by Ramón Martinez as the “absolute winner” of 2024.
Belén Diezma Iglesias, member of the jury and Assistant Director of Quality and Accreditation at ETSIABB), concluded the event by stating: “Tractor de España® demonstrates the collective commitment of industry leaders to drive agricultural progress. Through continuous research and innovation, the industry is shaping the future of agriculture with solutions that enhance productivity while protecting the agricultural environment.”
